

Our 48 place nursery caters for children from 6 weeks to 5years and is open from 7:30am to 6pm, 52 weeks of the year excluding Bank Holidays.
| The Baby Room caters for 12 babies from 6 weeks - 2 years with a 1:3 staff ratio |
| The Toddler Room caters for 12 children from 2-3 years with a 1:4 staff ratio |
| The Pre-School Room caters for 24 children from 3 - 5 years with a 1:8 staff ratio |
The nursery
is welcoming and friendly and offers your child the opportunity to learn
through his/her experiences whilst playing in a safe, relaxed and stimulating
environment with fully trained and experienced staff
| 1. | How many of the nursery staff are qualified? |
| 90% of the staff are qualified to NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent, the other 10% are working towards their level 3. | |
| 2. | How many of the nursery staff are first aid trained? |
| All our staff are paediatric first aid trained. | |
| 3. | Do I have to pay for bank holidays and sickness? |
| Yes... fees remain payable throughout the year including bank holidays and temporary absences due to sickness and family holidays. | |
| 4. | Do I have to book a minimum number of sessions? |
| Yes a minimum booking of 1 day or two sessions is required | |
| 5. | Is there a discount for siblings? |
| Yes there is a 10% discount given on your youngest child's fees. | |
| 6. | Do you use agency staff? |
| No....we have a team of bank staff who cover staff holidays and sickness to ensure continuity for the children. | |
| 7. | How do you involve parents in their child's learning? |
| We
give all parents a regular newsletter to keep you informed of upcoming
events and changes. Each age group have a parents board with yearly, monthly and weekly activities displayed on it for your interest and monthly information sheets are sent home with the preschool children to tell you a bit about the next topic and what we plan to cover and ideas to talk about at home. We also hold a parents evening once a year where you have the opportunity to talk to your child's key worker about their development. 'How's it going' reports are sent out twice a year to highlight what your child is doing at nursery and their favourite activities. |
